Privacy Policy
Effective July 18, 2026 · Applies to the Maskwave iOS app and maskwaveai.com
The short version
Maskwave replaces your face and voice in video entirely on your device. Your recordings, imported clips, camera and microphone data, and exported videos are processed locally and are never uploaded to us or anyone else. There are no accounts. We collect only anonymous, aggregated usage statistics — never your content.
What the app does with your data
- Video, audio, face and voice data — captured or imported only when you record or import a clip, processed on-device, and saved only where you choose (your device / photo library). We never receive it.
- Camera, microphone and photo library access — used solely for recording, importing and saving clips.
- Settings and usage limits — stored locally on your device.
Deleting the app deletes everything it stored.
Network requests the app makes
- Voice model downloads. Optional voice models are downloaded from our Google Cloud Storage bucket. Like any download, the server sees standard request data (such as your IP address); none of your content is sent.
- Purchases. Subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple and by RevenueCat, our purchase-management provider. RevenueCat receives a random anonymous identifier, purchase/receipt information and basic device information — never your name, contacts or content. See the RevenueCat privacy policy and Apple's privacy policy.
- Usage analytics. The app may send anonymous usage statistics — for example that the app was installed or opened, which features were used, and export counts per avatar, voice or background — to us or to an analytics/attribution provider acting on our behalf. This data is tied to a random identifier, not to your name or Apple ID, and we use it only in aggregate (e.g. "which voices are most popular"), never to profile individual users. It never includes your recordings, video, audio or any content.
That's the complete list. The app makes no other network requests.
Website
maskwaveai.com uses Google Analytics to measure visits with cookies. This applies to the website only, not the app.

Maskwave is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any personal information from them (or from anyone else).
